By profession, Twanita is a principal business architect — a discipline grounded in requirements, structure, sequencing and standards. Her celebration work applies those same strengths to the rooms where families, churches and communities mark what matters.
Across milestone and community projects beginning with a co-created shower in 2006 — and including the complete design and execution of a 200-guest pastoral installation reception — her approach has remained consistent: understand the meaning, define the experience, architect the environment and steward the details with care.
Elegant Reverence is that practice, given a clear point of view. The studio is a Virginia limited liability company based in Northern Virginia and serves celebrations across Virginia and North Carolina.
The Name
Elegant Reverence
Reverence is the posture: honor the meaning before designing the room. Elegant is the standard: proportion, restraint and hospitality that feels effortless because it was considered. The studio's motto — Honor the moment. Architect the memory. — names both the promise and the method.
The studio's visual language, which it calls quiet grandeur, is built on a palette of ink, ivory, vellum, bronze, garnet and laurel, and on an open-sided frame the studio calls the Open Threshold — a doorway, not a box, because a celebration is something people are welcomed into.
